Today is a day in our history as a nation that tragedy struck on American soil. It was a day many people did not expect to die. People were just going to work to do their normal everyday routine.
I was doing my normal errands when I heard on the radio what happened. I was in shock and fear. I went to grab my kids from school and daycare and go to my grandmas house. There were heroes that day that worked to rescue people. We are forever thankful. My heart was pricked this morning about how many people woke up that day and would never wake up again. How many were actually prepared for eternity? That’s the urgency in my spirit we must be prepared for eternity.
In the weeks and months following people flocked to churches we ran back to God . However in the months to come we went back to our normal. When the reality is we needed Jesus all along. This nation is in desperate need of Jesus. We as Americans need to realize our country is in need of a revival.
I say this today pray like you never have prayed for the lost.
Pray for our nation that we have an encounter with God that changes us.
Pray for those you love that are not prepared for eternity.
2 Chronicles 7:14
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sins, and will heal their land.”
God cannot lie (Numbers 23:19) so I will do my part for the United States of America and wait for Him to do his part to fulfill 2 Chronicles 7:14. I will humble myself. I will pray. I will seek God’s face. I will turn from my wicked ways
