How many unnecessary sleepless nights have you had?

Matthew 11:28-30
28 “Come to me,all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

This scripture kept stirring over and over in my heart.

We are all burdened and many of us have grown very weary. God said give it to Him and He will give us rest. How many unnecessary sleepless nights have you had?
I can say, that I have had some of those nights.

You may think your issues are insignificant compared to others, however if it’s important to you, then it matters to God. Everything that hurts us is important to the Lord. He wants us to lay down our burdens.

Whatever your situation, whatever the need give them to the Lord tonight so you can have rest .

Once you lay them down and give them to Jesus a peace will flood your soul and you will rest.

Some of us have been struggling with sickness for a while and the enemy keeps talking in our ear, do not listen to that doubt. God is still in the healing business. He still works miracles.

Some of us are feeling the sting of the economy and the recession, remember that he is the God of more than enough. Trust Him with your bank account. Thank Him for the provision He provided. Have a spirit of gratitude.

Some of us are just in a broken place. We keep getting hurt and just don’t understand why. So many times it’s through no fault of ours. In every season He is faithful.

I am in a season right now where I have questions. I want answers. Today as I was cleaning a shelf in my office, I read one of my signs that said, “In every season He is good.”
As I reflected on that sign I was reminded of all the times He has brought me through and that I know He will do it again.

I begin to praise the Lord for all He has done and I can say that right now in this moment, I have peace and I know God is on the move.
I am resting in Him tonight and I encourage you to do the same.
