My child will excel in wisdom and understanding as they live in the fear of the Lord.

Proverbs 2:1-10 NIV
[1] My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, [2] turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding— [3] indeed, if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, [4] and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, [5] then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. [6] For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. [7] He holds success in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless, [8] for he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones. [9] Then you will understand what is right and just and fair—every good path. [10] For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.

Isaiah 11:3 NIV
[3] and he will delight in the fear of the Lord. He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, or decide by what he hears with his ears;

My child will excel in wisdom and understanding as they live in the fear of the Lord.

As our children learn to delight in the Lord. They will learn to not judge people based on the outward appearance.

The wisdom of God will show them what it means to fear the Lord. We think of fear as scary and being afraid. When we fear the Lord, we reverence His presence. We need to teach our children to have a respect for the presence of the Lord.

Too many times we don’t teach or show or children the reverence we need when the Spirit of God is moving.
The wisdom of God will keep us from sin.

When they learn to walk with the Lord and allow His voice to be the guide that leads then it will keep them from the traps of the enemy.

We need to show our children by example what learning to walk in Godly wisdom looks like.

We need to show them what it is to fear and reverence the Lord. We need to be an example before them of being still in the presence of the Lord.
