It is hard to love others when they hurt us. So many times we try and keep score.
We have to learn to have a heart that serves and loves even when it’s not deserved.
We must learn to love others like Jesus loved us. We must learn that we are not to be selfish. Love isn’t about getting our way it’s about putting the other persons needs above our own. Love is honest with each other even when it’s hard.
Love covers a multitude of sin. Am I saying to be a door mat and accept being abused absolutely not.
I’m am saying allow God to heal those scars and wounds.
Give grace to others as you have been given grace.
Lord give us your kind of love for our spouse and our family. Help us grow in patience, kindness and honor. Help us learn to serve one another. May we never keep records of the wrong. May our love never fail. Let us remember that You first loved us and that you extended us grace when it wasn’t deserved.
I Corinthians 13:4-8
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
