Something to ponder
This morning I was talking with my husband about how full churches were yesterday.
My heart was pricked, we prayed for people to come last week and their heart be touched.
This week we need to pray that the seeds planted yesterday will be watered and begin to grow.
Let’s pray that God keeps drawing them. That the begin to desire and long for Him.
Which one are you?
This parable speaks about 4 kinds of ground –
The scattered path – where everything the Lord plants in your life is eaten up and taken from you
The stoney path – where things grow but they begin to die from lack of water
The thorny path – where the weeds grow up and choke out what was planted
The good soil – where what is planted grows
I think we all have seasons in our life where each soil is represented.
We have to grow over time and plant ourself firmly in the Word of God so the seeds that are planted while begin to grow. I think we also need to plant our self with a good group of believers that will help us grow.
Be cautious who allow to speak into your life. Don’t allow negative words and thoughts to overtake the promises God has given you.
Sometimes we gotta change the radio and let some praise pour in our hearts.
Prayer And Praise are the weapons we use in battle.
His Word is our sword.
Without these things we will not grow in good soil.
What is holding you back today is it a mindset? Is it bitterness? Is it old hurts? Is it failures from the past ? Remember who the Son sets free is free indeed.
Be free today plant your spiritual roots in good soil.
Matthew 13:1-9
13 That same day Jesus went out of the houseand sat by the lake. 2 Such large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat in it, while all the people stood on the shore. 3 Then he told them many things in parables, saying: “A farmer went out to sow his seed. 4 As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. 5 Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. 6 But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. 7 Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. 8 Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. 9 Whoever has ears, let them he hear.
