Jesus loved children. He loved the way they had faith to believe and expect. Today our children are bombarded on every side. We have to pray for our children.
Many times I think stay at home moms don’t realize the value of their job. They are training and preparing the future. You are imparting into them the values and morals that will encompass their life. Your job is so important and so valuable don’t feel like your not doing something with a purpose because you are. On the same hand we live in a world where many times it takes two incomes to survive. So don’t feel like a non-valuable mom if you have to work. Choose wisely the care you place your children in.
This brings me to the home. Is your home a place where your children are learning to pray or study the Word? Do your children see you have a relationship with God outside of the four walls of a building? Children will remember those moments. Some of those times will have the greatest influence on their lives. I learned to pray listening to my mom and my granny and my grandpa. I learned the value of reading the Word and studying from my grandpa. Get it in your heart. My oldest son stayed with my grandparents while I worked and every morning my grandpa would quote Psalms 23 with him and it planted in his heart.
Don’t fret if your grown children aren’t where they need to be. Speak life over the seeds you planted. Pray God sends someone to help harvest.
You planted and the harvest will come. The Word gives us a promise when we train our children in the way the should go when they are old they won’t depart.
Value your mom moments with your children of any age. Take those moments to pray for them, listen to them and encourage them.
Maybe your faith is struggling; remember back to when you were young and in Sunday School and all that you were taught.
If you invest in children’s lives, I bless you. You are planting seeds and changing the future. Don’t be discouraged if they stray for a moment they will never forget the prayers you prayed and the truth you taught. Maybe have faith today like the little ones in your life. Believe God can do anything and He will. Mustard seed faith is all you need.
Remember this promise when we Train our children, teach our children the ways of the Lord they will not depart from it. Keep being a living example before them.
Proverbs 22:6
6 Train up a child in the way he should go,
And when he is old he will not depart from it.
