The prayer of Jabez may be short, but it’s powerful! 💥

Jabez’s name literally means pain — his mother named him that because his birth caused her great suffering. 😢
Sometimes, the things we are birthing in the Spirit can bring us great pain too. Many times, we don’t want to push through because it’s hard and it hurts 💔— but growth often comes through pain. 🌱

Jabez became a man of fervent prayer 🙌. He knew he needed God’s favor and protection over his life.

He asked God to enlarge his territory — not physical land 🌍, but people for the Kingdom. 👑
➡️ Ask God to increase your territory!
➡️ Claim every life you come in contact with for Jesus! ✝️

Jabez also knew that without God’s hand on his life, he would fail. 🙏
We, too, must ask God to hold us, guide us, and strengthen us. 🤲

Please be with me in all that I do,
and keep me from all trouble and pain!”
And God granted him his request. 🙏
