David asked the Lord if he could build a temple to place the Ark of the Covenant inside. 🏛️✨
But the Lord told David, “You are not the one who will build My temple. The one who comes after you will build it.”
God declared that the house of David would continue. 👑 God promised David that He would raise up one of his sons to take his place when the time came.
And David was humbled. 🙏🏽❤️ He couldn’t understand why God would choose his family.
David had been obedient to the Lord. Even with all of his imperfections, he was quick to repent. 🙌🏽
🔥 David is a perfect example of the kind of people God can use.
God doesn’t look for perfection.
👉🏽 He looks for obedience.
👉🏽 He looks for a surrendered heart.
👉🏽 He looks for someone willing to repent and get back up.
David cried before the Lord with a broken spirit. 💔😭 He wasn’t free from the consequences of his sin, but God was still merciful enough to use him.
✨ THINK ABOUT THAT. ✨
We talk so much about generational curses that are passed down…
But what if we started talking more about GENERATIONAL BLESSINGS? 🙌🏽🔥
What if we became intentional about leaving a LEGACY OF PRAYER AND FAITH? 🙏🏽📖🔥
Let’s show our future generations how to get ahold of the altar and NOT LET GO! 🔥🙌🏽
Let them see you reading the Word. 📖
Let them see you praying. 🙏🏽
Let them see you worshiping. 🙌🏽
Let them see you trusting God when life gets hard. ❤️🔥
Let them hear you speak the Word of God over your circumstances. 🗣️📖
Teach them to memorize the Word of God, because His Word is our weapon! ⚔️🔥
📖 THE WORD IS OUR WEAPON!
Let’s normalize praying over our children when they’re hurt. 🙏🏽
Let’s pray over them when they’re sick. 🙏🏽❤️🩹
Let’s lay hands on them and believe God. 🙌🏽🔥
Let’s make speaking the Word over our situations our GO-TO, instead of speaking everything negative the enemy throws at us.
🗣️ SPEAK JESUS!
🗣️ SPEAK LIFE!
🗣️ SPEAK THE WORD!
🗣️ SPEAK FAITH!
Because sometimes we’re giving the enemy a microphone when God has already given us a WEAPON! ⚔️🔥
Instead of rehearsing everything that is wrong, let’s start declaring WHO GOD IS! 🙌🏽
✨ MY PRAYER FOR MY CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN: ✨
🙏🏽 That they become mighty men and women of faith.
🔥 That the anointing of God would be greater in their lives than any generation before them.
🌱 That every dream and every vision that died before coming to fruition would come alive through them.
📖 That they would love the Word of God.
🙏🏽 That they would be people of prayer.
🔥 That they would walk boldly in their calling.
❤️🔥 That they would relentlessly pursue Jesus.
👑 And that a SPIRITUAL LEGACY would continue through them for generations and generations to come.
I don’t just want to leave my children and grandchildren an inheritance.
I WANT TO LEAVE THEM A LEGACY. ❤️🔥
A legacy of PRAYER. 🙏🏽
A legacy of FAITH. 🔥
A legacy of OBEDIENCE. 🙌🏽
A legacy of WORSHIP. 🎶
A legacy of THE WORD. 📖
A legacy of RELENTLESSLY PURSUING JESUS. ❤️🔥
🔥 LET’S STOP FOCUSING ONLY ON WHAT HAS BEEN PASSED DOWN… AND START INTENTIONALLY BUILDING WHAT WILL BE PASSED ON.
