“For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have
hope.”
Romans 15:4
We can learn from those who have walked before us that there is Hope in walking with the Lord. Look back at your life and the elders in your life , what stands out in your mind? In mine I remember hearing my granny cry and battle before the Lord. I remember my grandpa speaking the Word all the time. I remember hearing him in the wee hours of the night having a conversation in his room with a bright light shining under his door. I heard him asking the Lord for five more years and God have him those years .
I learned my crazy radical faith from them. That is my hope, I know where they are and I know I will see them again.
The past is designed to show us that we can endure the hardships. The Word shows us the Hope of the glory that is to come.
Hope lets us know that this life has so much more than we realize especially when we are aligned with God’s will and plan.
Today know that the battle and the suffering is just temporary. We have this promise that our Hope is in heaven and heaven is eternal .
“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is
eternal.”
– 2 Corinthians 4:18
