This verse is encouraging. When our confidence is in the Lord our roots run deep. Imagine that when you are rooted in the Lord your roots are deep and the storms of life can’t uproot you. We’re like a tree rooted in water, our leaves stay green, the heat doesn’t destroy us. It always bears fruit.Jesus is our living water when we are rooted in Him, even when the storms rage we will not be uprooted or destroyed. Life will throw some heat our way but since our roots are in the living water we won’t wither. Being rooted in Jesus we’re gonna produce fruit. Our life touches more people than we think. The way we live should bring them to Jesus not turn them away. If your rooted in Jesus the fruit you grow is good. If you don’t get rooted in Jesus you will fall by the wayside. Because you’re confidence will be in yourself. How do you get rooted in Jesus? By living for Him, reading and studying the Word and seeking His face in prayer. Prayer is the key that unlocks door and breaks chains. Prayer is our connection to God.When you are rooted and connected you can have confidence that God is working all things out for your good. Even when the heat is on and life is rocky you won’t be shaken. Take hold of the promises of God and write them on your heart.
Jeremiah 17:7-8 But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.
