I run to my Father when I’m worried
I run to my Father when I’m overwhelmed
I run to my Father when the storms are raging I run to my Father when I feel alone
I run to my Father when I’m broken
But also
I run to my Father when I just wanna praise
I run to my Father with arms wide open
I run to my Father with a heart tender before Him
The Bible tells us to run to our shelter
The Bible tells us to rest in the arms of Jesus The Father’s arms are always welcoming even when we have been laying with the pigs.
The Father’s arms are open when we have carelessly spent all the blessings that He gave us.
The Father’s arms are open when he’s not our first choice but our last resort.
No matter how we push him away, His love never stops He loves us unconditionally, which for many of us is hard to understand.
We don’t even love ourselves unconditionally. When you understand the depth of the love God has for you at that moment you can begin to love yourself and see yourself as His child. A child of the King has purpose. A child of the King knows that enemy may pursue but they can’t destroy. A child of the King knows that the King protects those He loves.
Psalms 61 Hear my cry, O God; listen to my prayer. 2 From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I. 3 For you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the foe. 4 I long to dwell in your tent forever and take refuge in the shelter of your wings. 5 For you, God, have heard my vows; you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name 6 Increase the days of the king’s life, his years for many generations. 7 May he be enthroned in God’s presence forever; appoint your love and faithfulness to protect him. 8 Then I will ever sing in praise of your name and fulfill my vows day after day.
