Spilled Milk

Spilled Milk

The lord prompted my heart to share this post from a few years ago. Some of us have just burned out and are completely exhausted. We don’t have enough hours to accomplish everything on our list. We are getting pulled from a million directions. The Lord says just stop and breathe. Breathe in His goodness. Breathe in His love. Realize we don’t have to be supermom. You don’t have to keep up with everyone else. The most important job you have right now is loving your babies and raising them to love Jesus. Remember the hard days and sleepless nights do not last forever. As a mom we have all experienced that cup or bowl of milk spilling everywhere and having to stop what we are doing to clean it up, so it doesn’t sour. The Lord rolled this over and over in my spirit that many times we don’t clean up the spilled milk in our hearts and lives. I’m talking about the hurt, bitterness, unforgivable spirit, the disappointment, resentment, the failure. We tend to bottle up our emotions because we are busy caring for everyone else. This year has been a season of hopelessness and confusion. We have been pulled and stretched to a breaking point. All the sudden all that spilled milk that we let rot and sour in our life is pouring out. But God is telling us today to forget the former things. Let go of the past. His mercy is new every morning. The weeping in the night is over because joy is coming. Mothers hear me we now more than ever have to stand in the gap for our children no matter the age. The enemy wants to destroy them, and we have to lift them up. I don’t care how many times you fall get up His mercy is new. I speak as one who has fallen and walked away and has experienced his restoration. I have failed my children and caused them pain but God in his sovereign mercy held them and protected them. I will say when you truly experience the Love and mercy of God you can’t be the same. You are not satisfied with the motions of playing church you long for his presence. In his presence is healing, miracles, restoration, forgiveness. Don’t stay weary Don’t hold on to your spilled milk Give it all to your father He is waiting with arms open with love like you have never known Lamentations 3:22-2322 Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.23 They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.Psalm 30:1-530 I will extol you, O Lord, for you have drawn me up and have not let my foes rejoice over me.2.O Lord my God, I cried to you for help, and you have healed me.3 O Lord, you have brought up my soul from Sheol;you restored me to life from among those who go down to the pit.4 Sing praises to the Lord, O you his saints, and give thanks to his holy name.5 For his anger is but for a moment, and his favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning
