The third area the enemy hits us with is money.
Through financial pressure we do things that we wouldn’t normally do
1. We stop giving to God
2. Let the pressure effect our relationship with God
Through this the devil can turn a cheerful giver into an unhappy giver.
I have dealt with this in my life. When you have seasons of lack and you do without, when you have increase you get comfortable and just wanna keep making more and more.
I would work more hours than I needed trying to get more stuff.
Trying to fill a void in my life. Many times in hard seasons, God went on the back burner and things got worse. Then I would correct my path and get my heart right.
Then in the moments I trusted God without any doubts I would see miracles happen in such amazing ways.
There was a Christmas that I had $40 to spend on my kids. It was a hard time. I went to Target to get something on sale. At that time we were doing an Angel tree at our church and I had an angel that wanted roller skates. Target had them on sale for $20 I just walked past them but I felt the prick in my heart. Went to my car and it wouldn’t start. I knew in that moment that I had to go back and get the skates. I made my purchase and headed home. Before the evening was over God blessed us with an unexpected Christmas bonus of $1000.00 and Christmas money from my parents $800.00. Not only did we get Christmas for our kids but caught up on bills.
God has always done more for me than I deserve. He has blessed me more than I deserve.I am thankful that He covers me and my children.
Don’t let your season of lack make you doubt the goodness of God.Sometimes we go through those seasons so we can learn to fully depend and rely upon God.
Luke 6:38
38 Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
