I was reading this chapter last night and it really stirred my heart.
We have to keep our eyes on Jesus.
Throw it off the things that keep you bound.
Don’t let everything entangle you.
We have to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus. We have to run this race with perseverance.
It’s challenging in this life but it’s possible to stay the course when our eyes are stayed on Jesus.
When you feel weary and ready to throw in the towel remember Jesus never sinned and He faced the cross for us to be pardoned.
When we throw the traps to the side , keep our eyes on Jesus, and not get weary we will run our race with perseverance. The key is keeping Jesus as the focus and realizing that we do all things in His strength and not ours.
If you feel weary today, simply close your eyes for a moment and rest in Jesus.
If you’re facing some traps simply speak Jesus.
There is power in the name of Jesus to break those traps and snares.
Hebrews 12: 1-3
12 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
