When I think about my story there are chapters I would gladly delete. Yet when I think about the mercy and grace God showed me it overwhelms me.
I am definitely not proud of the lost and dark parts but I share them in hopes they help someone else realize God is still writing your story.
I think about Rahab she was a
harlot who feared God more than her own king. Her story didn’t end when she took care of the spies.
When you read about Rahab in the New Testament she is part of the lineage of Jesus.
She carried the shame and guilt around every where she went.
So wanted to leave that life behind.
Many of us carry the shame from the bad chapters and mistakes
This is a reminder to all of us that it doesn’t matter how lost or broken we are, God doesn’t change His mind about our call. Just because you have a few bad chapters doesn’t mean God can’t use you.
Let God rewrite your story. Let the next pages of your story be of the grace that God showed you. Determine today to be the relentless woman of prayer and faith that God has called you to be.
Rahab obeyed even in the face of death. God changed her direction when she walked in obedience to Him.
God rescued her heart so He could rescue His people.
Her obedience saved many.
Joshua 2 tells her story
Matthew 1:5 shows how her story changed
“Therefore God is not ashamed to be called [her] God; indeed, he has prepared a city for [her]” (Hebrews 11:16)
