Have you ever woke up and your day started on the wrong foot?

Have you ever wondered what could happen next ?

Have you ever thought well all I will ever have is bad luck and problems?

I think the enemy likes to hit us before we even get out of bed. This last few weeks I have been struggling with being joyful.
Disappointed over situations beyond my control have truly hurt my heart. This morning I began to shake that off.

I began to rehearse my victories. I reminded myself that my true joy comes from Jesus. As I begin to speak life to myself my mood changed. The weight lifted.

I have really become a procrastinator as I have gotten older for things I need to do at home. I will put off buying groceries until we are in desperate need of something. I will work on a project at the very last minute sometimes if it’s for home.
I have truly felt a conviction over this the last few weeks. When I’m at work I’m so organized and get things done ahead of schedule. I told the Lord I need this balance for my home.

It was that moment I realized the seed of disappointment was making me not enjoy my home, my family and my life.

Lord help me everyday realize how good you are to me.
Help me lay my disappointments down at your feet.
I need you to help me through every hurt and pain.
Give me strength when I am weak. Give me joy when I am sad.
Give me peace when I don’t understand the disappointment.
Help me lean on you in every moment of my life.

Psalms 61
1.Hear my cry, O God;
    listen to my prayer.2 From the ends of the earth I call to you,I call as my heart grows faint;
lead me to the rock that is higher than I.3 For you have been my refuge,a strong tower against the foe.4 I long to dwell in your tent forever and take refuge in the shelter of your wings.5 For you, God, have heard my vows;you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.6 Increase the days of the king’s life,his years for many generations.7 May he be enthroned in God’s presence forever;appoint your love and faithfulness to protect him.8 Then I will ever sing in praise of your name and fulfill my vows day after day.
