Hannah – A Relentless Woman of Prayer

Hannah was a relentless women of prayer

The first chapter of Samuel talks of the story of Hannah she was loved by her husband but was not able to have children. Her plea with God year after year was for a child.
During this account she was so heavy in prayer she didn’t even have words. She was at the end of rope. She didn’t care what others thought about her she just wanted God to answer her cry.

Hannah couldn’t see behind the scene that God was postponing her blessings because he had a plan. Do you know someone who is struggling with waiting for God’s timing?
Be a voice of encouragement to them.

Hannah’s husband encouraged her and told her how precious she was to him , but the ridicule she endured from his other wife destroyed her self confidence.

No one could help her but God.
Eli the priest assumed she was drunk he didn’t understand the desperation of her prayers.

She told him if God would give her a son she would give him back to God And he would be a Nazarite parents could make this vow for their unborn children.
She was so desperate she made a vow to God. It’s easy to say things in the moment of despair but will you follow through.

Hannah followed through. She had been so distraught so couldn’t eat or sleep. Once she received the word she was alive in her spirit.

I don’t know what you have been waiting for but I know this when we are delayed in our answer God has a plan far greater than we can imagine.
Maybe it’s time to get desperate in your prayer. Forget about what people may say about you. Push past others and get in the presence of God. If you want your break through you have to break out of your comfort zone.

I Samuel 1:16-17

16 Do not take your servant for a wicked woman; I have been praying here out of my great anguish and grief.”
17 Eli answered, “Go in peace, and may the God of Israel grant you what you have asked of him
