Philippians 2:14
After reading this passage I decided to look up the meaning of grumbling. We all do it . We complain about the weather. We fuss about traffic . We complain about having to clean our house. We don’t even realize that we complain because it has become our normal talk.
As I was reading and studying I was reminded that God allowed the enemy to attack Israel because of their complaining.
Grumbling is a heart attitude that involves complaining or murmuring against God or someone or something else we blame or judge others instead of seeing what is in our own hearts.
So this just hit me we grumble and complain because our heart needs a check. We need to get our attitude lined up with our spirit. It’s hard to have a grumbling spirit when you have been in the presence of God.
Today I encourage you to replace your complaining tongue with a thankful tongue. You can look all around you and find things to be thankful about.
Examine your heart. Repent from your negative words. Watch how your atmosphere will change when you begin to have a heart of thanksgiving.
