Today’s gift is His Presence.
What a difference the presence of God makes in our life.
I know when I haven’t been in His presence enough, my attitude will flair up and I don’t like that.
His presence changes us because it’s molding us to be like Him.
The presence of God brings peace to our situation.
This time of year we think about presents, we love giving gifts to others. I was talking with my daughter earlier and my grandson was upset that she had 4 presents and he only had 3. We laughed but my mind begin to think about how much we focus on getting that perfect gift for someone and not on spending time in His presence.
This year I want my children and grandchildren to know it’s not about the decorations or the presents. I want them to truly know the reason we celebrate this season.
I love Christmas, I love the lights , the decorations, the holiday smells and the gatherings of friends and family. I just want to be sure that when they see me they see Jesus.
I want them to know we celebrate because Jesus came to die for us.
As you’re preparing for Christmas remember to keep His Presence in all you do. Worship the King this holiday season.
Isaiah 9:6-7
For to us a child is born,to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end.
He will reign on David’s throne
and over his kingdom,
establishing and upholding it
with justice and righteousness
from that time on and forever.
The zeal of the Lord Almighty
will accomplish this.
