Nehemiah 2
The king noticed his countenance. People notice our countenance. It shows me that he carried himself well in the king’s presence so when something was off the king took notice.
To be in the kings presence and be sad was very dangerous but he didn’t let that fear stand in his way.
When we let fear rule us it says that our fears are more powerful than God. Is God calling you to do something but fear is holding you back?
IF GOD CALLS YOU TO DO SOMETHING HE WILL HELP YOU ACCOMPLISH IT.
He was never afraid or ashamed to pray no matter where he was or who was around. He could pray with confidence that God would hear and answer, because he had an intimate relationship with God.
He had cultivated a prayer life. He didn’t just call on God like a 911 emergency. He daily communicated with God.
He had power, position and skill yet he acknowledged that God’s hand was on him . He knew that he was walking in God’s strength and not his own.
Vs 9-10
He didn’t let opposition stand in his way. He pushed through to what God had called him to do.
Vs11-17
He planned a strategy. You can’t go into battle unorganized and unprepared. You must lay out your plan so when you’re ready to execute the plan it is successful. Must importantly you hear the voice of God directing your plan.
Vs18- when the moment was right he shared his vision. You have to share your vision with like minded individuals.
God has given you a vision and its purpose is to further the Kingdom.
What is God calling you to do?
Write it down. Make a plan. Begin the preparation. When the time is right share with those God has aligned you with.
This is the year for God to move in our life’s, our family, our homes and our ministry.
