Psalms 127
Lord, build our home so it will stand the test of time.
Psalms 127:2 NIV
[2] In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat— for he grants sleep to those he loves.
Vs 2- Lord, never let work be more important than my family. Lord, help us find the balance so our children will know that they are important.
Lord, I pray you bless every work of my hands and my children’s hand. So that we will be prosperous and have the favor of God in every area of our life. Let us never take for granted that it is you that gives us the ability to get wealth. Our strength to work comes from You Lord.
Psalms 127:3 NIV
[3] Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him.
Vs 3 – My children are a reward from the Lord. They are a treasure and a blessing. My children are never an inconvenience but are my greatest blessings on earth. It is a privilege to be their parent and grandparent.
Lord, remind me of this even on the hard days. I love them and my heart’s desire is to see them flourish in their walk with you. Let my life be that example to them.
Psalms 127:4 NIV
[4] Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth.
Vs 4 – When my children are raised to follow the Lord they are like arrows of hope and light shot into a lost and dying world. It is not just the church’s job or my spouse’s job it takes all of us to work together to teach them the ways of the Lord.
We have to teach them to chase harder after Jesus than they do the world.
