Lemons – sometimes life can be a bit sour.
The beginning of this year didn’t go anyway I planned.
The enemy has fought on every side.
He has attacked our health, our finances, our children.
Enough is enough.
Today I declare that my God is good no matter the situation we are facing.
The battle is not mine, it belongs to the Lord. I have seen the goodness of God poured over my life and my family too many times to doubt that He is still good.
I know that God Will not fail me.
Things don’t go how we planned. We experience difficult situations and we can’t cope.
Think about this when you make lemonade you add just a little bit of sugar and it makes it a refreshing drink on a hot day.
Just like in life when we add the presence of God to our everyday life it gets just a little bit sweeter. Worship isn’t just for Sunday mornings at church. Worship can be in your car or your living room. Worship is a time you give yourself to your Father and pursue him. Returning to say thank you and embracing His love.
Lemons are used as a beauty aide. Lemons help clear acne, and age spots purifying the skin. When we think of Jesus His blood cleanses you. It takes away our impurity’s and makes us white as snow.
Lemons are antifungal – they break down and destroy the harmful bacteria. Think for one minute how God has removed something or someone from your life. At the moment we don’t always see that it’s His protection. Trust His process and His plan.
Remember when you feel like life’s giving you lemons, allow God to work to remove the junk and sweeten your life with His presence.
Isaiah 61: 1-3 he binds you the broken hearts he gives us beauty for ashes. He turns our sorrow into joy.
Ephesians 1: 3-14. He gives us grace freely, he saved us, he has a plan.
So today if things are a little bit sour add some of His presence and watch how it turns around. Remember your not walking alone. He is walking with you.
I know that all these lemons I have been battling will make some pretty good lemonade. I know God is refining me during this season.
