David fought Goliath he got mad that this enemy was mocking his God.
He didn’t just avoid the conflict. Many times we avoid the conflict because we are scared of the battle.
David stood up and faced the giant that everyone was afraid of. Maybe you’re the one in your family that is gonna knock down the Goliath that has kept your family in chains. Those generational curses of addiction have to leave in Jesus name.
Value the Lord, don’t take for granted the grace He gives us. Realize that we are to show Him love and to walk in fellowship with Him. Sometimes the giants in our life are blocking the view.
Many times our circumstances hide us from the Way Maker.
Today determine that no matter how big the giant you are facing may seem; your God is greater, stronger and there is nothing too hard for Him.
Look that giant straight away and see the victory.
When David saw Goliath he wasn’t afraid because David wasn’t fighting in his own strength.
So many times the battle over takes us because we are doing it ourselves. Don’t quit.
You may fall and mess up but get up and never quit.
Don’t quit praying, reading, worshiping, seeking. When we quit the enemy comes in and our Goliath defeats us. David knew quitting wasn’t an option. He knew the enemy had been left alone long enough.
Size up the enemy – and remember that your God is bigger than sickness, bigger than addictions, bigger than depression, bigger than anxiety, bigger than finances. He is still the great I am, He is still Jireh, He is still our healer. The enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy. Do not allow him to steal another moment from your family.
Keep what’s yours – stand firm for your family. Stand firm in your faith. Know that when God is on our side, and fighting your battle you will not fail.
Empty yourself of sin – lay down everything that keeps you bound.
Quit saying it’s too hard. Stop settling for less than God’s very best because your addictions keep you from His presence.
There is power in the name of Jesus to break every chain that has you bound.
Yield to Gods timing – maybe what you have been praying for or believing for isn’t for this moment.
Yes, I know that it is so hard to believe that God’s timing is better than ours but trust in His promises. If He spoke it to you it will come to pass. He never fails us. Sometimes it is in the waiting that the most growth happens. God is refining us to make us a vessel He can use. We have to get us out of the way and just allow God to be in control.
Whatever your Goliath is, you can defeat it in the power of Jesus today. David was just a shepherd boy when God helped him defeat the giant. God wants to defeat the giants in your life today; you just have to allow Him.
