Let whatever I do be done unto the Lord. That’s a powerful message. When we work do we do it unto the Lord? What about our household duties? So many times we just complain about the tasks before us and not even stop and realize that in all we do give thanks to God. What is that uncomfortable job teaching us? What is God refining in me? I heard someone sharing that for days the prayed God change my spouse, but God spoke to them that they were the problem not their spouse. I thought about that being applied to every part of our life. How many times do we say God, if only you changed them everything would be great. So today I encourage you to allow God to do the work in you that He desires to do. Allow Him to refine you and change you. Give thanks today in all you do. Remember all we do is for the Lord to be pleasing in His sight. So even when men don’t acknowledge what you have done it’s alright God always remembers and promotes us in our season.
Colossians 3:23-24
Whatever you do [whatever your task may be], work from the soul [that is, put in your very best effort], as [something done] for the Lord and not for men, 24 knowing [with all certainty] that it is from the Lord [not from men] that you will receive the inheritance which is your [greatest] reward. It is the Lord Christ whom you [actually] serve.
