⚔️ SIX WAYS THE ENEMY SEEKS TO DESTROY CHRISTIANS IN THE LAST DAYS
🚨 #2 — MUSIC: WHAT ARE YOU ALLOWING INTO YOUR SPIRIT? 🚨
This is a subject many people don’t want to hear about! But I believe it’s time we start examining what we are allowing into our hearts, minds, and homes!
🎵 MUSIC IS POWERFUL!
Music speaks to our emotions. It influences our thoughts, our attitudes, and even the atmosphere around us.
The frightening thing is that many times we sing along to songs without ever stopping to consider what the words are actually saying!
🔥 JUST BECAUSE IT HAS A GOOD BEAT DOESN’T MEAN IT HAS A GOOD MESSAGE!
Think about some of the lyrics we willingly listen to.
⚠️ Songs that glorify cheating and adultery.
⚠️ Songs that encourage drinking and drug use.
⚠️ Songs that degrade women.
⚠️ Songs that celebrate rebellion, lying, and ungodly lifestyles.
And we wonder why there is so much confusion, rebellion, and unrest in our lives!
WHAT WE CONTINUALLY FEED OUR MINDS WILL EVENTUALLY INFLUENCE OUR HEARTS!
Let me be transparent for a moment.
I LOVE MUSIC! 🎶
I love classic rock, metal, country, and yes, even rap!
But there came a time in my life when I had to make a conscious decision to stop listening to secular music.
Why?
Because I began noticing something.
MY ATTITUDE CHANGED DEPENDING ON WHAT I WAS LISTENING TO!
And it wasn’t just affecting me. It was affecting my household!
My children’s attitudes were awful. There was no peace in my home. Something had to change!
🏠 SO I MADE A DECISION!
NO SECULAR MUSIC IN MY HOME!
And that rule STILL STANDS TODAY!
If you come into my home, I ask that you respect that decision.
I have fought too many battles, prayed too many prayers, and walked through too much to willingly allow something into my home that disturbs the peace I have fought to protect!
🔥 I WILL GUARD THE ATMOSPHERE OF MY HOME!
And let me say something else that might step on a few toes!
🚨 JUST BECAUSE IT’S LABELED CHRISTIAN MUSIC DOESN’T AUTOMATICALLY MAKE IT WORSHIP!
Some songs are inspirational, but inspiration and worship are not always the same thing!
We need discernment!
Does the music glorify God? Does it agree with His Word? Does it draw my heart closer to Him?
I’m not asking you to agree with my personal convictions.
I’M ASKING YOU TO EXAMINE YOUR OWN HEART!
What are you feeding your spirit?
What are you allowing to influence your children?
What are you inviting into the atmosphere of your home?
What might be stealing your peace, your joy, and your desire to spend time in God’s presence?

🙌 I REFUSE TO LET THE ROCKS CRY OUT IN MY PLACE!

“From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORD’S name is to be praised.” (KJV)
🔥 I want my home filled with praise!
🔥 I want my heart filled with His Word!
🔥 I want my children and family surrounded by an atmosphere that honors God!
🔥 I want the presence of the Holy Spirit to be welcomed in my home!
WE CANNOT CONTINUALLY FILL OUR MINDS WITH THINGS THAT CONTRADICT GOD’S WORD AND EXPECT OUR SPIRITUAL LIVES TO REMAIN UNAFFECTED!
It’s time to be intentional about what we listen to!
It’s time to guard our hearts!
It’s time to protect the atmosphere of our homes!
🙌 LET EVERYTHING THAT HATH BREATH PRAISE THE LORD!
