Psalms 62:1
Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him.
Do you feel weary?
This past few weeks I have been so tired and weary.
As I was reflecting on why? My heart begin stirring and I heard the Holy Spirit speak to me, “ you have been trying to figure things out on your own.”
My mind was puzzled, I have been praying and studying. I heard the Holy Spirit speak to me again, “ yes you pray and yes you have faith, but then you look for ways to provide a solution.
I stopped and I truly begin to think today I am not overwhelmed, today things I have been trying to finalize finished. Things I can’t control aren’t upsetting me.
I laid things at the feet of Jesus and simply left them there. I never realized that I kept picking it up everyday.
I have had some really hard days. I have questioned why am I here at this place. I have questioned why did we have to move here.
Today the Holy Spirit simply reminded me that He has a purpose and a plan. That He blessed me with this job and I should be thankful. He blessed me with a great life and I should be thankful even on the hard days.
Maybe this was just for me today but I thought I would share. My burdens were truly lifted and my heart is filled with joy. Not one thing has actually changed but my outlook has.
I am so thankful for all the Lord has done in my life. There isn’t enough room to list them all. So as I begin to speak that out loud tears fill my eyes because broken relationships were restored. My heart was made whole. I encourage you if you’re struggling today and feeling weary remind yourself of all the good God has done for you. Be thankful for where you are in this moment and watch your outlook change the atmosphere around you .
I encourage you to read the chapter it’s a good one.
