Job 36:26-33

Did the storm wake you? Thunder shook my whole house. I wasn’t afraid when I heard it just startled.

I was reminded of this passage in Job, it’s one of my favorites especially when the kids would be afraid of storms. I remind them we have nothing to fear.

We serve a God who holds Lightning in His hands. His voice is loud like thunder we have no reason to be afraid of any of life’s storms.

As I was laying there the Holy Spirit spoke so clearly to me. God wants to shake His church with an outpouring of His Spirit but we’re afraid. We’re afraid of what we don’t understand. We’re afraid of what people will think about us if we are just a little fanatical.

I can assure you when I was in sin and living it up or so I thought I didn’t care what people thought about me. So why do we care what people will think when we speak in tongues? Why do we care what people will see when we dance in church? Simply because religious people and man made rules tell us this is not for today. They tell us it’s not right. I’m sorry but King David danced before the Lord and he was a man after Gods own heart.

So I’ll take my chances and let people make fun because you have no idea the things Jesus set me free from. I am praying for God to bring dead dry bones to life, those bones that sit Sunday after Sunday. I am praying that our dead churches come back to life. I am praying that we want Jesus more than we want anything.

Job 36:26-33

26 How great is God—beyond our understanding!    The number of his years is past finding out. 27 He draws up the drops of water, which distill as rain to the streams 28 the clouds pour down their moisture and abundant showers fall on mankind. 29 Who can understand how he spreads out the clouds, how he thunders from his pavilion?30 See how he scatters his lightning about him, bathing the depths of the sea. 31 This is the way he governs the nations and provides food in abundance. 32 He fills his hands with lightning    and commands it to strike its mark. 33 His thunder announces the coming storm; even the cattle make known its approach.
