• James 2:25

She hid the spies in Joshua 2 . She told them how afraid her people were of their God ,because He parted the Red Sea for them.

She helped them and in doing so she saved her whole family.

They told her to drape the scarlet cord over her window so they would know which home was hers.

She wasn’t a good church going lady. She was a sinner in need of a savior.

That cord represents the Blood of Jesus. The blood that covers us still today.

Her story of redemption is one that shows how God can taken a lost person and change the world.

Rahab played an important part in the lineage of Jesus. After Rahab was saved she married an Israelite and gave birth to a baby boy named Boaz.

Boaz would later marry Ruth who would have Obed who had Jessie who had King David and this is the line of Jesus.

Rahab is such an important story for us. She shows us that no one is un redeemable. It shows us that even with a broken past God can use us.

Rahab went from the house of shame to the hall of Faith. She is one of three women mentioned in Hebrews 11.

She was on a path of darkness and her obedience to God changed the direction of her life.

Her life showed
Faithful – she received the spies without fear
Believer – She knew Gods judgement was coming to this city
Obedience – she helped Gods men without hesitation

God is looking for some Rahabs today. Some women with a past. That He wants to turn around. He needs someone who’s been to hell and is now on the other side. He needs some women ready to walk in obedience no matter the cost. He’s looking for some women that can say , that used to be me, I used to be that sinner but I met a man. His name is Jesus and He took me from the pit. He took away my shame. I don’t live in the shame house anymore. I am a daughter of the king.
