Judges 4-5

Deborah is proof that God can use women as mighty warriors.

She was a prophet and a judge. The only other prophet and Judge was Samuel.

She is an influential woman in the Old Testament. God used her because of her faithfulness not because of her spouse. She heard the voice of God and obeyed.

She was a warrior, judge, poet, prophet, singer, songwriter.
She is the only female judge mentioned in the Bible.

She led them to victory.
When she went with them to war she told them the king would be given over to the hands of a woman. It wasn’t even Deborah who killed the king it was another woman.

We can learn a few things from the life of Deborah.

Obedience – she obeyed when it was hard. We need to listen and follow the call. We all have things God has placed in our heart that we are supposed to do. Walk in that calling.

Courageous – God doesn’t pick the most qualified. He calls those who will walk in obedience no matter how hard that it is.
God will prepare you for what He calls you to do.

Stood true – our faith should never waver. We need to be relentless in our walk with the Lord. Don’t let the storms of life toss you around.
