Forgiveness

Jesus knew Judas would betray Him and He still washed his feet.

Before the last super was served Jesus showed true servant hood. He washed the feet of those who would betray Him, deny Him, run away even though He knew what would happen He still loved.

Wow and many times we can’t even shake hands with someone who rubs us the wrong way. So many times we stay bitter and don’t forgive when clearly Jesus gave us the best example of true forgiveness. We focus on the people who hurt or wrong us more than being the hands and feet of Jesus. Jesus spent His last days pouring into His disciples trying to prepare them for what was coming. What are we doing with our days?

Are you winning souls for the kingdom? Are you willing to serve others that can never repay you?

Are you willing to serve even if you never get any recognition?

True service means being the hands and feet of Jesus to others in need. I’m not just talking about physical needs. I am talking about really loving people. Someone is struggling with depression, bring joy to them. If someone is overwhelmed, take some of their load. When we bear each other’s burdens we are fulfilling the law of Jesus which is to love one another.

Forgive those who hurt you.

Forgive those who broke you.

Forgive those who abused you.

Forgive those who abandoned you.

Forgive those who lied about you.

Forgive those who stole from you.

When you forgive others you leave the door open for God to forgive you.
