Quiet the Noise

Quiet the noise…

This has been a theme surrounding me the last week.
I am surrounded from the moment I wake up until I sleep.
Emails are constantly coming and my need to respond keeps me busy at times I just need to be still.

The Holy Spirit has reminded me to just rest in the moment.
I have worshiped as I am driving in my car . Yet I have had moments of simple conversation with the Lord.

I never want my life and mind so busy that I cannot hear what He is speaking to me.
I don’t want noise to keep me from my purpose.
I don’t want distractions to keep me from His presence.

There is noise all around us and many times we can’t hear the voice of God because we have distractions all around us.

We have to find that still quiet place to commune with God. We are surrounded by a world that never stops. We have technology at our fingertips 24 hours a day.

Phones have replace relationships.

We have all been guilty of paying more attention to our phone than the person sitting next to us.

Social media is great it keeps us connected to people who live far away, but do we ever shut it off and just be still.

What about when you can’t sleep? Do you lay there and meditate on the Lord or do you grab your phone and see what’s new in the world? I have been guilty of that. I have come to find out in the moments my body can’t rest that my spirit is longing to commune with Jesus.

If we never quiet the noise we will never find rest that the Word promises.
If the noise never stops it will drowned out the voice of our Father and the directions we need to take.

Quiet the noise around you, be sensitive to the Spirit. Make sure your going the direction that the Lord is leading you.

Many times the noise around distracts from Gods plan and purpose. It causes us to get off course. I encourage you to quiet the noise around you. Open your heart to hear what the Lord is saying today.

Psalms 46:10
Be still and know that I am God.

Maybe you need answers today. Maybe you think God has not heard your cry. Maybe He has been speaking but the noise around you is drowning out His voice.
