There Isn’t a Shortcut

THERE ISN’T A SHORTCUT

In my experience, there’s no quicker and more predictable route to happiness than carbohydrates. What’s more attractive than the Hot Now light of a Krispy Kreme? Or the open sign at Braum’s – I defy you to answer that. I mention it because I’m afraid many of us want our destiny to work like a drive-thru, and our calling to come with all the comfort of glazed carbs or frozen goodness.

We don’t want to wait for that hot home cooked meal with protein and veggies because it takes time. Even though it’s good for us. We have gotten used to the instant sugar sweet stuff. Unfortunately that’s the Gospel that many of us are looking for. We want that sweet feel good bless me Gospel. We don’t want the part of the story where people lost their lives standing up for the Gospel. We don’t wanna hear that our faith will be tested and tried. But God’s purpose requires patience, endurance, and trust. It’s not easy, and most of the time it’s uncomfortable. The road were called to walk isn’t easy and it’s very challenging.

Stop looking for easy in your relationship with God. To walk in your anointing it is gonna cost something.

Sometimes it cost us friendships because not everyone is called to walk with you. It may cost you a career change. Sometimes he moves us to a different place.

Many times we walk this calling alone. Because He is refining us to be what He has called us to be and when we’re alone we completely depend on Him.

Don’t look for a shortcut. The harvest is work, and the reward is worth it.It’s time to be all in for Jesus.

“So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.” (Hebrews 10:35-36

What are you afraid of running out of? This isn’t very deep, but I’m gonna give it to you real quick: Your need is meant to point you to your true supply.

Stop going to people who can’t work miracles and holding to an expectation to make your life better when they’ve got their own shortage.

Everything that God wants to do through your life will start through something that’s within your reach. It’s nearby. It’s so close that sometimes you miss it. If one source drys up, another stream will open. You won’t run outGod has so much for us. But the devil wants us to see our circumstances and not what God has planned. There are days I’m sure we all sit and wonder when will things change. Trust in His promises. Speak life in your circumstances. Believe what he promised will come to pass and wait patiently for him to answer our prayers.
