Don’t leave your house naked. Spiritually speaking.

Don’t leave your house naked. Spiritually speaking. Put your armor on. We wouldn’t leave our house without being fully dressed for the day.
The same should be true spiritually.
You can’t fight the enemy if you’re not prepared for the battle.
You can’t fight the enemy in your own strength.
The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but are mighty to the pulling down of strong holds.
Our weapons are prayer, praise and the Word.
When you begin to declare what the Word of God says the enemy gets scared. He knows that you aren’t fighting him on your own.
The enemy knows that Jesus has already defeated him and he doesn’t stand a chance when you’re locked in with Jesus.
That battle you have been facing – stop fighting it on your own.
This morning put your armor on and send the enemy packing in Jesus name.
Ephesians 6: 10-17 gives us our armor and what it does. Daily apply it over your life. Teach your children to speak it over their life. It’s our protection from the battles we are facing. We do everything to prepare our children to go into the world physically and many times we leave the spiritual behind. Preparing your kids spiritually is more important than anything else we can do.
When our kids play sports we make sure they have the best equipment so they are protected from injury. We make sure they have good shoes. We buy a helmet to protect their head. Depending on the sport and the position they are playing there are additional protective gear needed. You wouldn’t send your child to catch a baseball game with out protection and the right equipment.
The same is true when you send them out to school equip them spiritually so the world doesn’t swallow them up. Every morning when I took my kids to school we would quote this and I would declare Isaiah 54:17 over them.
I haven’t stopped since they are grown. I know they fight battles they don’t even share with me.
I say still pray this over your adult children stand in the gap for them even when they aren’t standing for themselves.

The Armor of God
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.11 Put on the full armor of God,so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.13 Therefore put on the full armor of God,so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place,15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
