Todays gift is faith
Have you ever looked at a mustard seed? They are so tiny.
It is the smallest of seeds yet grows to the biggest plant and can become a huge tree.
Much like our faith as we being our journey with Christ.
In the beginning we struggle to believe for the impossible but over time our faith grows as we experience miracles.
That moment that you accepted Jesus in your heart was the moment your faith began to grow.
Faith is an amazing gift. We learn that we can believe for the impossible.
Think about a virgin having a baby that would save the world. This baby was born in a barn. He was greeted and welcomed by lowly shepherds. His birth announcement was grand because the Heavenly host shouted it loud. Those we were appointed and positioned to meet this new born king had to have faith to believe what they had heard.
Faith is trusting that God is who He says He is.
This holiday have faith to believe that God is the same yesterday today and forever.
Maybe life has challenged your faith. Get a mustard seed to remind you that if that’s all the faith you have it’s enough. Because it’s not about what you can do but what God can do.
Matthew 17:20-21
“For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.”
Romans 10:17 – So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.
Hebrews 11:1 – Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen
Hebrews 11:6 – And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
Ephesians 2:8-9 – For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
