‘Twas the night before Jesus came
The stores were filled with people shopping with no thought of the savior.
Streets were filled with cars driving by honking horns at the drivers who were driving slow all in a hurry and not ready to go.
Malls were full. Restaurants were packed people were spending all that they had in hopes to get the perfect gift.
Jesus was standing there waiting but was ignored every time.
People have forgotten the reason we celebrate this magical time of year.
Houses are full of bright lights and decorations. Trees are so colorful and bright. Our children don’t understand that we celebrate the risen Lamb. We have replaced the redeeming love with a Jolly old guy.
Oh how I love the laughter of children and the excitement they have when they wake up and think oh Santa has left a great prize. I enjoy the decorations and lights.
This year my heart was saddened to realize how commercialized our saviors birth has become.
We talk about this baby born in Bethlehem. We leave the part out how He was born to die so we could be free.
When you gather this season around your family tree make room for Jesus because coming soon He will be.
As we have celebrated the gifts of Christmas with you. Our hope and prayer is that you remember our greatest gift was born in a manager and died on a rugged cross, but He rose again so that we wouldn’t be lost. Share the hope of His love with those around you because His return is closer than we think, and in a twinkling of an eye ,He is coming for His bride.
So prepare your heart to be ready so that when Jesus comes back you will be ready to go.
Merry Christmas and never forget the Hope and Joy of Christmas is Jesus.
Revelation 12:5: “And she gave birth to a son, a male child, who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron; and her child was caught up to God and to His throne.
Galatians 4:4-5: “But when the set time had fully come, God sent his son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship.”
