Something happens when we begin to praise even in the hardest situations. Praise changes the atmosphere.
I was reading Psalms 30 and it just talks about praise even when the Lord is angry with you praise.
I love King David he was a human and had so many flaws but his heart always loved God. He knew that when he sinned he had to repent. David understood the consequences of his sin. His choices caused heartache and pain not only for him but his children.
He still became broken before the Lord. He understood that he needed Gods mercy and forgiveness. Think about that Jesus hadn’t even came on the scene and David understood that God showed him grace and mercy when he repented.
He understood that God’s favor last a lifetime when your in covenant with Him. He also knew when he was sinful that he had to be redeemed by a blood sacrifice. The blood is the covenant. Jesus is the blood sacrifice.
Psalms 30:1-5
I will exalt you, Lord, for you lifted me out of the depthsand did not let my enemies gloat over me.
2 Lord my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me.
3 You, Lord, brought me up from the realm of the dead;you spared me from going down to the pit.
4 Sing the praises of the Lord, you his faithful people;praise his holy name.
5 For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.
