As we have entered into this Holy Week let us not forget the reason we even celebrate Easter.
Having our heart was so important to Him that He endured the cross.
Easter isn’t bunnies or baskets or eggs.
We celebrate the resurrection of Jesus.
He defeated, death, hell and the grave.
He paid the price for our sins .
I know a lot of Christians don’t celebrate the Easter tradition that many have created. I do not tell you how to celebrate the holiday.
Easter is about Jesus dying on the cross and being raised from the dead. We have gotten to far from that. Every church will be full Sunday because people will be looking to hunt eggs. We will put on our Sunday best. But our hearts won’t desire to linger because we’re on a schedule. Throw away the schedule and let His presence fill the atmosphere.
Our hope should be that we share the Gospel with them. I pray that whatever tools are used to spread the Gospel that the results will be fruitful and eternal. I pray that on this Easter Sunday hearts will turn towards the Father. I pray miracles happen. I pray that God show up so mighty, that our plans and schedules get messed up.
I pray God restore broken family relationships.
I pray God set people free from addiction.
I pray miracles of healing take place both physically and spiritually.
I pray chains are broken and life’s are forever changed.
I pray that Jesus is honored and glorified in every church and home this week and beyond.
Hebrews 12:2
fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God
