Worship while you wait

This morning I was reflecting on some situations in my life that are beyond my control. If you know me you know that I need things to be orderly and not chaotic. This season has definitely been a test for me. I was so completely frustrated and overwhelmed the other night all I could do was just worship. I noticed instead of sitting there stewing in my madness that when I decided to worship the atmosphere shifted. No the problem didn’t go away or change but the heaviness of the atmosphere did.

When we worship while we wait, the waiting isn’t heavy.
When we worship while we wait, the burden lifts.
When we worship while we wait, Jesus steps in and changes everything.

My circumstances will not define my praise.

My circumstances will not steal my joy.

My circumstances are nothing compared to my God.

God is bigger than any situation I am facing.
God is greater than my problem.

Here are things I have learned in the waiting.

I have learned to trust, hope and expect like with a child like faith.

I have learned to be confident in God’s promises.

I have learned that worry and fear are needless.

I have learned that He is my strength.

I have learned to draw into His presence.

Waiting is designed to help us grow in the Lord.

Psalms 27:14
14 Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.
