On the eighth day of Christmas, Jesus gave to me – the Holy Spirit

Today’s gift is the Holy Spirit.

Jesus said He had to leave us, but that He was sending a comforter.

There have been so many times that I haven’t known what to say or how to pray but I would begin intercession in my heavenly language and I know that God moved.

When the Spirit moves in a church service you leave changed. The Holy Ghost isn’t just goose bumps and inspiring, it’s life changing.

The part of the Holy Ghost people don’t like to talk about is when that still small voice tells you to sit down and shut up. I have had the Holy Spirit put my in check on more than on occasion.

I have had warnings from the Holy Spirit and I obeyed and I know I am alive today for that very reason.

The Holy Ghost urges us to pray more than we realize. Many times we don’t know who we are praying for or why, but our obedience to go before the Throne of God shifts the atmosphere.

I know there are many who don’t agree with speaking in tongues and I honestly believe it’s just because they don’t understand or haven’t experienced the fullness it brings.

How can you believe that the Bible is true if you don’t believe what happened in Acts 2 is true?

Tongues are for today and it’s a great gift that God has given us.

Acts 1:8
But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth

Romans 8:26
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans

Acts 2:1-5
When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place.
Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting.
They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them.
All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.
Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven.
